CARBON BLOCK FILTER MANUFACTURER

Specify the performance. Then engineer the block.

PureRing Water develops coconut-shell carbon block platforms around the water challenge, rated flow, geometry and verification route—for standard supply, OEM projects and second-source qualification.

PLATFORM MAP

Four starting points for a clearer qualification program.

Platform names describe a development direction. Final specifications, test data and certification claims are confirmed at model and system level.

CORE

Core CTO

Coconut-shell carbon block platforms for standard housings, RO prefiltration and private-label programs.

Development target
Chlorine taste and odor, balanced flow and capacity
Start with
Nominal micron, dimensions, rated flow and target capacity
CAT

Catalytic Chloramine

Catalytic-carbon development for municipal chloramine, foodservice and premium point-of-use systems.

Development target
Chloramine kinetics at the specified flow and contact time
Start with
Challenge water, flow, endpoint and service-life target
HEALTH

Health-Claim Development

Project-specific media and block structures for lead, VOC, cyst or PFAS reduction programs.

Development target
A defined contaminant-reduction claim in a specified system
Start with
Target standard, claim, system geometry and certification route
OEM

Custom Geometry & High Flow

Thin-wall, large-format, inline and equipment-specific blocks developed around your housing and flow path.

Development target
Fit, pressure drop, flow distribution and assembly repeatability
Start with
Drawing or sample, interfaces, materials and validation plan

LIKE-FOR-LIKE BENCHMARK

A second source should be proven under one protocol.

We recommend comparing the current block and candidate sample in the same housing, at the same flow, with the same challenge water and endpoint.

01

Match

Dimensions, interfaces, media direction and agreed target.

02

Sample

Build a review sample and confirm dry fit and construction.

03

Benchmark

Compare pressure drop, flush, capacity and physical consistency.

04

Approve

Lock the approved construction, documents and change controls.

05

Scale

Move through pilot production to repeatable supply.

WHAT TO MEASURE

Performance is a curve, not a single number.

The useful qualification set depends on the application, but buyers typically need more than a nominal micron or iodine value.

APPLICATIONS

Engineer around the system that uses the block.

RO & under-sink

Core CTO, low-pressure-drop and project-specific health-claim development.

Foodservice & coolers

Flow, chloramine demand, taste consistency and replacement intervals considered together.

Residential & POE

Slim and large-format blocks for standard housings and distributor programs.

Equipment OEM

Custom dimensions, interfaces, inline assemblies and private-label supply.

CLAIMS & CERTIFICATION

The standard number is only the beginning.

NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 401 cover different categories, and the actual contaminant claim varies by product. Before a mark or reduction claim is used, confirm the current listing, model, flow, capacity, component or complete-system scope, and manufacturing location.

PureRing Water does not apply one certification statement to every carbon block. Request the exact model-level evidence for your project.
